GENERAL RULES
This competition is an individual competition. No collaboration and discussion with another person is allowed. You will be disqualified if there is any evidence of collaboration or assistance.
The Examination Committee reserves the right to modify, update or change the examination rules and regulations upon the suitability or nature of the programme.
THE SCOPES
AL-KHAWARIZMI CATEGORY
Set theory, algebra, polynomial, number theory, geometry, combinatorics.
IBN AL-HAYTHAM CATEGORY
Number Theory, Algebra, Product of Irreducible Polynomials, Combinatorics, Geometry,
excluding Calculus, Complex numbers.(not limited to school/textbook syllabus)
THE COMPETITION
There are 2 CATEGORIES for this competition:
1️⃣ AL-KHAWARIZMI CATEGORY
(open to form 1 – 3 students)
(open to schools in Kuantan district only)
2️⃣ IBN AL-HAYTHAM CATEGORY
(open to form 4 & 5 students)
Preliminary, Semi-Final and Final.
Preliminary and Semi-Final will be conducted fully online.
Final stage will be conducted physically (face to face) at Kulliyyah of Science, IIUM Kuantan Campus.
GENERAL REQUIREMENT
Forms 4 or 5 students (Malaysian citizen) from secondary school in Pahang, Johor, Terengganu, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Kelantan only.
PARTICIPATION LIMIT
Limited to 30 students per school.
CERTIFICATE LEVEL
Certificate will be provided for all stages.

Online DEVICE
Participant has stable online network with a decent device, such as a computer, smartphone or tablet.

- The link to online platform will be sent to the individual and School Coordinator 3 days before the exam.
- Student answers directly in the online platform within the stipulated date and time.
FINAL STAGE (FACE TO FACE)
- Question Type: multiple choice and subjective questions.
- The student will take the examination at Kulliyyah of Science, IIUM Kuantan Campus.
- No calculator, geometry set, and any reference book are allowed in the examination.
