SCOPES

Number Theory, Algebra, Product of Irreducible Polynomials, Combinatorics, Geometry,

excluding Calculus, Complex numbers.

(not limited to school/textbook syllabus)

COMPETITION

There are 3 stages for this competition:

Preliminary (certificate school level),
Semi-Final 
(certificate national level),
Final
 (certificate national level).

All stages will be conducted fully online.

The exam question is in Malay and English (dual language). 

Participation

Forms 4 or 5 students (Malaysian citizen) from secondary school in Pahang, Johor, Terengganu, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Kelantan only.

LIMITED TO

40 students per school.

Semi-final: National level
Final: National level

registration Fee

RM 10 per student.

Online DEVICE

Participant has stable online network with a decent device, such as a computer, smartphone or tablet.

DUAL LANGUAGE

The exam question is in Malay and English. 

GENERAL RULES

1) Each school must appoint one (1) teacher to be their School Coordinator. Registration shall be made by the the School Coordinator. Click the above red button for the details.

2) The participant is a secondary school student, form 4 or 5 (Malaysian citizen only) from Pahang, Johor, Terengganu, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan or Kelantan only.

3) The maximum number of students per school is 40.

4) The fees is RM 10 per student.

5) Participant must has a stable online network with a decent device, such as a computer, smartphone or tablet.

IMPORTANT: This competition is an individual competition. No collaboration and dicussion with another person is allowed. You will be disqualified if there is any evidence of collaboration or assisstance.

 

*The Examination Committee reserves the right to modify, update or change the examination rules and regulations upon the suitability or nature of the programme.

GENERAL FORMAT*

PRELIMINARY STAGE

  • Question Type (Duration): 20 multiple choice questions.
  • The link to online platform will be sent to the School Coordinator 3 days before the exam.
  • Student answers directly in the online platform within the stipulated date and time.
  • In case of the school close due to Covid-19 pandemic, the student will take the examination at their respective location.

SEMI-FINAL STAGE

  • Question Type (Duration): 20 multiple choice questions.
  • A written mathematics sketch of the solution may be submitted together with the answer as a pdf file attachment.
  • The link to online platform will be sent to the Teacher Coordinator 3 days before the exam.
  • Student answers directly in the online platform within the stipulated date and time.
  • In case of the school close due to Covid-19 pandemic, the student will take the examination at their respective location.

FINAL STAGE

  • Question Type (Duration): 20 multiple choice questions and 5 subjective questions.
  • For subjective questions, a written mathematics solution must be submitted as a pdf file attachment.
  • The link to online platform will be sent to the School Coordinator 3 days before the exam.
  • Student answers directly in the online platform within the stipulated date and time.
  • The school must provide an examination room for their participant(s). 
  • In case of the school close due to Covid-19 pandemic, the student will take the examination at their respective location.
  • No calculator, geometry set, and any reference book are allowed in the examination.
