What is IVPC?
The Sejahtera-Intervarsity Proficiency Competition (IVPC) is an annual event organized by CELPAD, IIUM with the primary objective of encouraging students to use English, Arabic, Malay, and Mandarin languages both inside and outside the classroom.
History
The first IVPC, named IVPC 1.0, took place virtually in 2022 with the theme ‘UNITY IN DIVERSE PROFICIENCIES,’ highlighting the seamless blend of cultures and languages at the language center. Following its success, IVPC 2.0 was held virtually in 2023 with the same theme. Both events were hugely successful, paving the way for this year’s 3rd IVPC.
Participants
The competition welcomes Malaysian & International students from the 26 targeted universities, both within Malaysia and abroad. Last year’s event saw participation from Fatoni University, Thailand, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies & Hainan College of Foreign Studies , China.
