WHAT IS HE ELCA<\/em>?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The<\/strong> Higher Education<\/strong> English<\/strong> Language<\/strong> Carnival<\/strong> (HE ELCA<\/strong>) is an annual event aimed to provide Higher Education students the opportunities to use English outside the classrooms and motivate them to enhance their English competency. It is co-organized by the Malaysian Higher Education Department and a Public University as a host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HISTORY<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

HE ELCA was first organized in the year 2017 at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and since then it continues to move forward and become the most awaited event by all. Among the proud hosts of HE ELCA so far are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 2020: UTM<\/li>
  • 2021: UNIMAS<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    20 students with MUET Band 1, 2 and 3 from 20 public universities in Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Theme: Conceptualizing Sustainable Community Through English Language<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This year, CELPAD IIUM has the honour of hosting ELCA 2022 amidst the global COVID-19 endemic and economic downturn. ELCA 2022 will be held on 23-25 November 2022, and it is going to be filled with fun activities that not only allow students to enjoy doing the activities and build network, but also improve their English proficiency and level of confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
